The founding and lead pastor of The River Church is Jason Fortenberry. Jason is in his early 40’s and has more than 20 years of experience serving Christ in various churches and locations. He has pastored churches in Southwest Louisiana, Southeast Texas, as well as North Texas.

 

His passion to make much of God impacts him and his family in every way. Jason is the kind of guy that lives out his faith in a radical way. That has never been more evident than in his recent decision to start The River Church in May of 2014.

 

Jason graduated from Newton High School, East Texas Baptist University, and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

 

Jason is married to his wife, Stormy, and they have two beautiful little girls,
Karis & Kyra.
